TP Women in Network: Bridging the Gender Gap & Advancing DE&I

March is a time to celebrate the achievements of women and reflect on the journey toward true gender equality. At TP in Greece, we are committed to fostering inclusive leadership and breaking barriers that hold women back. That’s why we hosted TP Women in Network, a transformative event dedicated to bridging the gender gap and developing effective Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) strategies.
Bringing together thought leaders, industry pioneers, and inspiring role models, the event provided a platform to discuss actionable strategies for closing the gender gap and ensuring workplaces evolve into spaces where all individuals can thrive.
The Power of Representation in Women’s Empowerment
As part of our commitment to amplifying diverse voices, we welcomed Paralympic champion Alexandra Stamatopoulou for an inspiring conversation on resilience, representation, and breaking stereotypes. Moderated by Panagiotis Kakolyris, the discussion highlighted the intersection of gender equality and disability inclusion.
Alexandra’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the need to foster a society that challenges outdated norms and actively supports individuals in reaching their full potential.
What’s Working on Gender Equality: Key Successful Initiatives
The event kicked off with an inspiring discussion on what’s truly works in the realm of gender equality. It wasn’t about a list of good intentions, but about real-world impact, the initiatives and actions that have driven meaningful change. The CEO of TP in Greece, Charlotte Foucteau, shared the story of how she has been committed to building an environment where women not only have a seat at the table but are empowered to lead from any position. The conversation highlighted the fact that change isn’t just about policies, it’s about creating opportunities and a culture where women can rise without being held back by unconscious biases or traditional barriers. At TP in Greece, we believe that these opportunities must be embedded into the very DNA of the company.
The Future of Work: Building Skills for Gender Equity
Industries are rapidly evolving, and the skills needed for success are changing just as quickly. Mary McCarthy, WW Support Engineering Leader, took the audience on a deep dive into the future of work, emphasizing the importance of equipping women with the right skills to thrive in an era of digital transformation. She stressed that gender equality must not only focus on removing existing barriers but also on preparing the next generation of female leaders for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Leveraging Data for Real Change
As Andreas Schneider, European Vice President Services & Support, emphasized the vital role that male allies play in achieving gender equality. He reflected on what motivated him to advocate for women’s empowerment and highlighted the need for bold, decisive changes. Andreas Schneider shared his belief that companies must challenge the status quo by addressing unconscious biases, embracing flexible work policies, and fostering more inclusive decision-making processes.
Empowering Women to Lead on Their Own Terms
One of the most powerful takeaways from the discussion was the need to redefine leadership for women. Dekyi Boorsma, Director of Customer Service, shared her inspiring journey of navigating the corporate world while staying true to her leadership style. The panelists agreed that true empowerment means enabling women to lead authentically, breaking the traditional mold of leadership, and paving the way for diverse perspectives in decision-making roles.
The Journey Continues
The discussions at TP Women in Network were more than just conversations—they were a call to action. Gender equality and DE&I strategies require continuous commitment, active allyship, and structural change. At TP in Greece, we are dedicated to keeping this momentum alive, driving real progress, and creating a future where leadership is defined by ability, vision, and inclusivity, rather than gender.
The conversations we started today are only beginning!
